This guy direct-outed a couple of goodies. First, the Cold Blood version of the Donny Hathaway tune, "Valdez in The Country"...
And, Lighthouse's "One Fine Morning", played off the vinyl as it should be. Warning: Do not play any version of this song from a CD, as the remastered version is horrible. All you kiddies, this was like Canada's answer to Chicago, and it even had Howard Shore in the sax section.

I got my hands on a vinyl copy of "One Fine Morning" and am working on making a nice MP3, just because I can. Meanwhile, a little story about "Valdez in the Country". EVERY OTHER VERSION OF THIS SONG SUCKS, INCLUDING THE VERSION BY THE GUY WHO WROTE IT. Cold Blood's version was released first and is the definitive. If you remember Dave Sims' old WNBC sports talk show, he closed every hour with this tune and was often asked on the air what the name of the song was. I was listening one night when he spilled the beans. The next morning I scoured every used record store in New Jersey. I finally wound up with two copies of the album this is from, "First Taste of Sin". Shame that this music isn't often reissued on CD. I didn't even think to look in the used record store when I was in San Francisco last summer. That would have been too easy....
