Gov. Palin on SNL

Even though her chances of getting elected don't look that great, it was fun to watch Sarah Palin having a little fun last night on SNL. She appeared in two skits in the show, the "cold open" where she appeared with Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, and walk-on guests Alec Baldwin and Mark Walberg, and again in Weekend Update with Amy Poehler (who looks ten months pregnant) and Seth Meyers. Here's her Update turn, courtesy of NBC. Of course, Amy steals the sketch, but it's kinda fun to watch Gov. Palin bopping around to the music.

Is Mark Wahlberg still mad at Andy Samberg for the "Marky Mark Talks to the Animals" skit that aired two weeks ago? I have last night's episode on my DVR, so I was wondering.

Yes, there was a little confrontation among them about 25 minutes into the show. It was a fairly good episode all the way around, but I can see how the cold opening and "Weekend Update" - the show's two bellwethers - are becoming the show's watercooler moments.

Let the record show, by the way, that one week after she was doing this quite energetic rap, Amy Poehler gave birth to her son, Archie Arnett.

Congrats, Amy, on the birth of your son. At least Archie is the perfect name for thier son. :D
