Baseball Season Starts TODAY...

... for Mets fans, at least. I begin my 45th year or so rooting for the Amazin's today, and we also call your attention to the No-Hitter Count, which will be somewhat meticulously updated whenever the first hit is achieved by the other team, which is always. In this, their 50th season, still no no-hitter for Mets pitching. As always, we refer you to Dirk Lammers' No No-Hitters website for more exhaustive coverage. (Dirk's day job is as a writer for the AP on energy issues, so the fact that he has time to do this and muse over why gas is headed toward $5 a gallon is in itself incredible.)
